Belfast Visa Applicants and the DS-160

To applicants who have scheduled but not yet attended a visa interview at the U.S. Consulate General Belfast
Belfast is unable to process DS160 visa application forms where a location other than Belfast was selected as the processing location. If this applies in your case, please complete a new DS-160 visa application form at https://ceac.state.gov/genniv/ selecting "Northern Ireland, Belfast" as the processing location at least 48 hours before your scheduled appointment. There is no need to change the DS-160 confirmation number on your account at https://ais.usvisa-info.com/en-gb.
- those who are eligible to travel to the United States for Tourism or Business without a visa under the Visa Waiver Program (VWP) and who have ESTA (electronic authorization) to travel visa-free; and
- Canadian/Mexican/Bermudan nationals who are exempt from the visa requirement.
An Immigrant Visa is required by anyone seeking to take up indefinite or permanent residence in the United States. Upon entry into the United States, an immigrant visa holder is processed for a Permanent Resident Card (PRC) commonly known as a green card.
Please note: Travelers born in the United States and those who hold dual citizenship with the United States must enter and depart the United States on U.S. passports.
