Economic Envoy

On 11 September 2009 Secretary of State Hillary Clinton confirmed the U.S. Government's continued support of a sustainable peace process in Northern Ireland by appointing Declan Kelly to the role of U.S. Economic Envoy to Northern Ireland. The role of the Economic Envoy is to underpin the peace process by promoting bi-lateral trade and investment between the United States and Northern Ireland.The office of the U.S. Economic Envoy to Northern Ireland aims to help Northern Ireland promote peace through prosperity.
