Deputy Chief of Mission Barbara Stephenson visited Northern Ireland and met with a range of people across civic society including many of our exchange program alumni.  Her visit included a tour and briefing by the North Belfast Interface Project and a tour of the Titanic Signature Project.

 

Commemoration of September 11 Attacks

11 September 2011 Commemoration of the 10th Anniversary of 9/11 in Belfast City Center

In recognition of the strong ties between Belfast/Northern Ireland and the United States, the Lord Mayor of Belfast Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile, has announced a public ceremony at Belfast City Hall to reflect on the 10th anniversary of the September 11 attacks.

Picturing America

01 September 2011 Linen Hall Library "Pictures" America  The Linen Hall Library, in cooperation with the U.S. Consulate in Belfast, is hosting Picturing America, an exhibition portraying masterpieces of American art that depict iconic people, places, and moments in American history. The exhibition coincides with the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks in the United States ten years ago this month.
